Sponsor Session with The Coloring Project: Color Your Intentions
This world is ours to create.  The way we create the world is by being intentional about who we are, what we want and how we show up in our world.

What do you want to create in your life?  Begin first with an intention... a target. Then, getting creative is an easy way to put the intention into motion.

Take a load off and hang out with Andrea of The Coloring Project for a bit at the coloring tables in the lodge, maybe you'll set some intentions for the weekend, maybe you'll just color a masterpiece (maybe a little of both!)

In Ancestral Flame Keeping, attendees will learn how to celebrate their own unique ancestry and how to keep the memories and spirits of their ancestors alive.

No matter where your lineage stems from, or how it has been colonized, conquered, reshaped and forgotten, there are ancient rites passed down from the furthest reaches of your genetic inheritance-- rites available to you because they sing through your blood. No spiritual entity is more invested in your health and well-being than your ancestors-- they literally lived and died for you.

In this workshop you'll how to honor and connect with your ancestors through culturally appropriate expressions. You'll learn how food connects us to our ancestors, how to create an ancestral altar, how to involve your ancestors in your daily and spiritual life and how to make steps towards cultural reparation, where necessary. We may also touch on connecting with the ancestors during the dreamtime. We'll begin with introducing ourselves and our ancestors to the ancestors of the land where the workshop is being held.

Please wear weather-appropriate clothing to this outdoor workshop. Conversation, lecture, Q and A, introducing the ancestors that are with us to the ancestors of the land and learning how to respectfully gather items from the earth for altars are all part of this workshop.

Intuitive Collage: Messages from Your Soul
Limited Capacity seats available

You’ve done a typical vision board right?  A collage to represent your goals and dreams you want to achieve. Resolutions!  The dream house! Yoga body on a beach in Greece! The juicy relationship with Ryan Gosling’s doppelganger! Or, Ryan Gosling. Yes? Me too. It can be a powerful manifestation tool.

That’s not what we’re doing.

Rather than focusing on aspirations you want to manifest, you will tap into your instinct and uncover what your soul craves, what stories need to be told, what parts of you need to be seen. These techniques can help you deepen understanding of yourself, leading to a richer life. Be prepared for surprises as your collages emerge from within!

  • This workshop covers intuitive collage basics such as:
  • The difference between a traditional vision board and intuitive collage
  • Tapping into your instinctive self through basic collage practices
  • Interpreting your collage, to see what’s simmering in your subconscious
  • Supporting others in their interpretation, letting your intuition lead the way
  • The symbolic languages of color, shape, animals and more
  • Pattern, repetition and placement, and how they inform the collage message
  • Trusting your instinct in creating and interpreting these soul stories

All participants will leave with multiple completed collages. Collage surfaces will be provided in addition to magazines, scissors and adhesives. No artistic talent or experience required, just a willingness to explore and play!

Reading Cards: The Magic of Divination
Limited Capacity seats available

Have you wanted to explore Oracle and Tarot cards but did not know where to start?

In this course for both beginners and seasoned card readers you will learn some fresh and fun ways to approach the magical realm of divination. We will consider some of the basics including how to choose decks, how to discern the right questions, and then how to interpret the cards you pull—or jump out at you.

The reality is divination is alive— it is a dynamic co-creative dialogue with the Universe. Being able to tap into this well of wisdom is an invaluable tool for understanding yourself and others, and also a great system to help navigate these turbulent times.

Lucia is an award-winning Oracle deck creator, reader, and teacher, and she brings a playful irreverence to this ancient practice. Come have fun with the innovative practices Lucia will share, opening to a new or deeper relationship with these enchanted allies in card form. Everything you need will be provided in the class.

Note: This is not a workshop on interpreting specific Tarot cards, see Dylan Wilder Quinn’s offerings if that is what you prefer.

What the World Needs: Activating Your Magic
Limited Capacity seats available

Have you ever looked at the world and wondered “what can I do?” or “how can I help?” The state of the world can often leave us feeling hopeless or stuck. The issues are too big and as individuals, we can feel too small. But you have a magical mix of gifts, passions, identities, experiences and so much more that can serve the world (or your little corner of it), when activated.

Through storytelling and relational activities, this workshop will help you unearth what you have to offer and how you might be able to bring that to the communities you’re a part of. This might get uncomfy, but social change requires risk (and we won’t get too risk-ay, but I will encourage you to challenge yourself). You have stuff that the world needs – what are you going to do with it?

Note: If you’re more of a writer or note-taker, you might want to bring something to write on and with.

The second half of this class will move inside to explore common medicinal plants, their uses, and to prepare an herbal infused oil, the precursor to making salve, and enjoy an herb-infused drink.

C.L.I.M.B. (Conquering Limitations Is My Birthright)
Limited Capacity seats available

Explore the interconnectedness of where our challenges and limitations meet our motivations and supports through our individual and collaborative intentions and efforts.

Our tool? The Vertical Play Pen! The Play Pen is a challenge course climbing structure with various boards, ropes, and tires built straight up. The climber is secured by a harness and climbing rope, while being supported by a belay team managing your rope and dedicated to providing for your safety. Here’s a video to give you a sense of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MxvLoPbC_U

In this workshop, we will face this particular tool with our focus on where our limitations are represented in both the engaging and supporting aspects of this activity. We will share with each other, honor each other’s needs, and actively respond to each other’s asks.

Any, and all, are invited to attend—whether you want to climb or not climbing, whether you are risk-seeking or risk-averse, whether you find yourself challenged to act or challenged to support. This is an opportunity for you to engage your limitation on multiple levels in a supportive space.

This workshop has a minimum of 10 participants, in order to have a big enough belay team.

Get Free: Releasing the Stories that Bind Your Soul
Limited Capacity seats available

From the moment you were born, you were told stories about yourself, others, the world and what it means to be human and as you grew up, you took on some of those stories as your own so that you could survive and fit into the culture and communities you inhabit.

But what if some of those stories keep you from showing up fully, expressing your soul and experiencing the magic in the people around you? This workshop is all about exploring the limiting and oppressive stories we each hold and we’ll do so through reflection prompts, paired shares and collective singing activities. We’ll also take a look at any differences between you’re showing up during camp vs. in your everyday life and how you might be able to bring more of the joy, connection and courage you might be experiencing into your life and the lives of those around you through freedom practices.

Note: If you’re more of a writer or note-taker, you might want to bring something to write on and with.

Sacred Selfies: Reflections of Your Brilliance
Limited Capacity seats available

Selfies have gotten a bad rap. Seen as a cry for external validation, the reality is they can be a divine dialogue mirroring your hidden brilliance within. When approached as deep, sacred play the camera becomes a witness, reflecting aspects of yourself you did not know existed.

Lucia created an entire Oracle deck with her Painted Body ritualistic photography series with over 40,000 Sacred Selfies taken in the New Mexico desert, and she believes they can change the world through shining back our wild beauty as a pathway to self love.

You will need either a smartphone or camera for this process, and a curious sense of exploration. After the initial instructions, we will each go out on the land independently and take experimental photos of our divine essences, letting the magic of Camp open new visions of ourselves that we can carry back to our other lives.

Bring a smartphone or camera + sacred adornments (scarves, jewelry, wigs, hats, glasses…) if you wish to take it to another level.

What IS tantra? That's what was rumored to give Sting an eight-hour orgasm, right?  Forget the gossip and remove the myths and experience it yourself!

In this workshop, we'll learn the basic beliefs and introductory techniques to deepen romantic, platonic, and self-love, and talk about what tantra is (yummy, amazing, connective) as well as what it isn't (a marathon, inherently sexual, reserved for L.A. yogis). There will be consensual, non-sexual touch, good music, and plenty of encouragement within the safe, sacred space we create together.

Solo attendees, friends, and couples are all welcome at this workshop!  You do not need your spouse/partner in attendance, nor do you need to even be in a relationship.

Your Hero’s Journey: The Major Arcana of the Tarot
Limited Capacity seats available

Reading tarot can be daunting - too many rules ("72 cards, 72 meanings to memorize.") while at the same time, not enough structure ("My intuition isn't telling me anything! How do I memorize the tarot spreads AND the meanings AND how these cards fit together? And then there are the reversals! Aah!").

In this workshop, we will break down the Major Arcana into tangible pieces, relating each piece to the human and spiritual journey you have and will continue to be going on in your life. Through storytelling, journaling, and reflection, you will learn tools for remembering each card, go through a healing journey of your own using the Major Arcana, and leave feeling more grounded and able to read Tarot for what it is meant to do - reflect your own powerful, intuitive self.

This workshop is great for folks with no experience, or folks that have some experience reading but are looking to deepen their relationship with their decks and with their own healing through tarot.

Bring something to write with (if you learn well that way - other ways to reflect are welcome), and a tarot deck and book if you have them. There will be a few communal tarot decks to share and enjoy.

Stick around after the All-Camp Campfire for "ghost stories" that are actually beautiful signs from our loved ones who have passed.

This fireside workshop focuses on taking the fear out of the unknown and using our own intuition to connect with the other side. After sharing our stories of spirit, the night will include an explanation of spirit energy, communication, debunking, intuitive exercises, signs and symbols, and protection from spirits who are not welcome. You’ll then sit quietly as Kim uses her tools of the trade-- from ghost hunting equipment such as EMF detectors and audio recorders; to metaphysical tools such as pendulums, dowsing rods and Tarot cards; and our own intuition!

Loved ones on the other side often use the evening as an opportunity to come through so participants may receive an impromptu mediumship reading as well.

Ancestral Activism
Limited Capacity seats available

What I call “Ancestral Activism” begins with connecting with our ancestors for healing and guidance. Cultivating a relationship with one's own ancestors is sure to spiritually nourish while avoiding cultural appropriation, misappropriating and, where applicable, further colonizing other cultures. Ancestral issues are often a result of Western culture’s inclination to never learn how to die well, or to honor death. Because we don't know how to die well, our issues are often left hanging around. This can mean transference issues, illnesses or even addictions to the living, or it can mean a spiritual pollution that smogs up the collective consciousness... Unlocking the mystery is all part of Ancestral Activism.

In Ancestral Activism, participants will learn how death and the fear of dying has separated us from our ancestors. We'll take steps towards healing our relationship with death and the dead while learning how this also positively affects the collective consciousness and Mother Earth. We'll also touch on avoiding cultural and spiritual appropriation, as well as exotification of the "other"  by turning within to our own lineages. Learn how to identify what is really drawing your attention about an outside culture or spiritual framework and how to fulfill that thirst in cultural and ancestral appropriate avenues that are also, ultimately, more nourishing. This workshop will include conversation, lecturing, Q and A and tuning in with the ancestors through meditation practice.

Camp Colman's archery range supports a spectrum of difficulty and target size so campers of all skill levels can have some fun.  Optional BYO cosplay outfit ;)

This workshop is organized in two one-hour groups of 12 archers. When you arrive, you will be organized into the first or second group and have the other hour free to watch or wander.

Decolonizing Our Language
Limited Capacity seats available

Using our words with deep awareness and intention can transform our world. Our reality is made of sound, woven from the words we use to describe it. Language has the power to enslave or liberate us, depending on how we wield it.

This workshop will focus on building a language of healing and interconnectedness through writing exercises, discussions, and ritual to unpack the language of colonization, and heal the wounds of separation.

This space will strive for safety in all ways as we explore potentially intense themes such as racism, privilege, sexism, intergenerational trauma, grief, and access to resources and how those are perpetuated and impacted by the words we choose. Growth lives at the edge of your comfort zone–– we embrace that in this workshop. Come as you are.

Decolonizing Our Language is as much for those who live with the stigmatization of biased language as it is for those who wish to be better allies.

Bring a journal and pen/pencil.

Mirror, Mirror Off the Wall
Limited Capacity seats available

Within the judgment-free and soulful embrace of our community, we'll explore how the act of loving our body can be a powerful way to find a joyful and rich relationship with our whole selves. When we take the mirror away and sprinkle a little Souldust on our body image, what will happen? We'll get down into the nitty-gritty about body shame and body love, and we'll learn about honoring who we are on the inside and out.

In this workshop, we'll talk about and explore our body image journeys and reconnect with our innate body wisdom with love, forgiveness and humor through relaxed and soul-based discussions. We'll also engage with two meaningful and fun group activities.

Be prepared: There will be good music, real talk, and laughter–– and maybe a few tears. We'll bring the hugs and the tissues!

Limited Capacity seats available

This is an introductory class to plant communication, uses, herbal medicine making, and basic wildcrafting techniques.

We begin with a walk in the woods to identify medicinal plants and trees native to Camp Colman and most likely to those growing in your home environment. Nature grounds our central nervous system. When we are at one with nature, there is an ease to sensing the flora's energy and listening to their stories.

The second half of this class will move inside to explore common medicinal plants, their uses, and to prepare an herbal infused oil, the precursor to making salve, and enjoy an herb-infused drink.

Wear weather-appropriate attire. Bring a journal and pen/pencil.

Behind the Lens: A Mindful Photo Scavenger Hunt
Limited Capacity seats available

Everyone can be a photographer these days with the access of technology, but stopping to appreciate and understand WHY we take the pictures we do, and WHAT emotions they evoke in us is often overlooked.

In Behind the Lens, you are invited on a mindful walk in nature, tapping into our own emotions and how we see and appreciate things in the world.  Understanding the ‘law of attraction’ (i.e. if you focus on seeing hearts, you’ll see hearts) and messages of the universe that we may be receiving at the time.

In this workshop, you will connect with others and share in the delight of what we see and the joy of the little things in life.  Using a camera/phone we will capture the details, seeing the grand picture of what we are drawn towards, as well as the finite details and the importance of what they mean to us.  Something magical is bound to occur.

Note:  While we encourage phones and other technology to be set aside for an immersive Camp Souldust experience, you will need to bring yours for this workshop. Technology can be our ally, as long as we still know how to access our own inner state of being at the same time.

Wildcrafting II: Commune + Restore
Limited Capacity filling up

More Woo. More Plants. Getting into the mechanics of sensing energy in the Nature surrounding us. Plants and trees have lots of information to share with us. They can comfort us and help shift our energy by taking energetic baggage away and assist in grounding our energy in this time and place. This can be super important for folks with anxiety or depression -- returning to this time and space, not yesterday and not tomorrow.

No need to take Wildcrafting I -- class starts with an overview of a plant's structure for an understanding of how it emits energy. We walk in Nature to commune with plants and trees -- distinguishing the difference between species. Meditate with a tree/plant, listening for the information they have for you. At the end of this session, we will share our personal experiences in a group setting.

At the Big Swing, you and other campers will work as a team to pull the swinger up to their height of choice. This is a "challenge-by-choice" activity where you're encouraged to get out of your head and go for it. The swing has a maximum height of 65 feet. Once you are elevated by the team as high as you want to go, you pull on a cord, releasing yourself from the haul rope and sent flying on the swing.  While in full swing, you can enjoy beautiful views of the water and the mountains.

Rebirth Your Magic Night Ceremony
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Have you heard?  You are magic. Yes, you.

But, as we move through life, our innate sparkle can be muted, suppressed. Much of this magic can come from and be amplified by a deep connection to nature, to the Earth, but that connection too has become dusty and obscured.

We forget we are made of star stuff.

On this special Earth Day weekend, join Nicole in a gathering under the moon & stars to reconnect with this Great Mother that we walk upon. In a circle of fellow campers, allow yourself to be guided on a reflective and moving experiential journey through your life, where you will reclaim the moments when you lost your way. By reclaiming these moments, you are able to rebirth the magic you carry within you each and every day.

Laying belly-to-belly with the Earth is where this journey begins so be sure to bring a blanket with you.

Ancestral Flamekeeping
Limited Capacity seats available

Making Medicine Bags: Honor Your Gifts
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Wrap up your camp experience with some time to integrate all you have experienced in sacred space and create a piece of magic to carry out into your everyday world.  We will explore the concept of Personal Medicine, which is about honoring our uniqueness and the gifts that each of us brings to the collective.

During our time together we will capture the essence of who you are and different elemental medicines that want to work with you at this time and gather those things up into a tangible medicine bag for you to carry home with you.  Insert language about medicine bag traditions around the world

A drum journey will anchor our time together  as we work with the medicine of animals, herbs and each of the four elements. This leather bag will be crafted to hold items for grounding, protection, and strength, to be carried with you when you are longing to possess the same attributes and energy that the animals and elements carry.

Your Medicine Bag will become a very personal sacred medicine item that you will treasure long after camp is over.

There is a materials fee of $30 to cover supplies used in this workshop. This fee can be paid cash to the workshop guide, or with credit card at the Information Desk.

Roll & Release: The Myofascial Art of Self-Massage
Limited Capacity filling up

Fascia is a thin mesh-like collagen that lies around every muscle fiber, muscle bundle, our bones, and our organs and attaches our skin to the muscles below. It connects us literally from our heads to our toes.

Fascia tightens when we are sedentary and creates blocks for energy to move, such as every night when we sleep, while working at a desk, or while protecting an injured body part. It also stores many of our emotions, in our hips, shoulders, and other joints. When there's a traumatic injury, the fascia tightens up to protect and sometimes can displace energy to another body part.

The more we move, stretch and open our body, the better hydrated the fascia is and allows your muscles to glide more freely, your organs to move and function properly and to allow our energy to flow appropriately through our body.

Through this Roll & Release practice, you will be guided through a slow dynamic movement to warm up and then transition to the mat using TENNIS BALLS to lie or roll on. You can use them pretty much over the whole body!  Relaxing all muscles, calming the body and being fully supported gives the fascia an opportunity to open up (melt) and the muscles to release tension.

This is a slow and beautiful practice, something we can all use to help in a stress filled, go-go-go environment. It aids in the release of tension/emotions, and allows the body to be more supple and adept at handling the stresses we place on it.  Plus, it can be done anytime, anywhere!  Your body and soul will thank you!

Absolutely no skill or previous experience is needed and is perfect for everyone.  Wear comfortable attire and bring a yoga mat.

Roots to Resilience
Limited Capacity seats available

Using the anchoring practices of Euro-Pagan ancestors, we’ll create a sense of deep groundedness and heightened experiences of strength, courage and joy.

This workshop is an intro to rewiring our brains to create a stronger sense of self and deeper resilience in the face of hardship and trauma triggers. Fusing modern-day science with ancient pagan practices, Roots to Resilience will help participants to create long-lasting feelings of resilience and gratitude and walk away with a variety of tools to integrate into post-camp life. Roots to Resilience includes activities such as stillness, meditation, conversation and connection with others, reflection, all within a deep calmness and surrounded by healing energy. We give our "hard things" a container here.

This workshop is trauma-informed. This method is inappropriate for those experiencing a traumatic episode such as a panic attack or a severe depressive episode. If you experience any severe trauma the day of the workshop, please see a staff member to choose a different class.

Bring something to write with (if that form of learning works well for you; other ways to reflect are welcome too).

Understanding the Wheel of the Year
Limited Capacity seats available

The Earth supports you in your personal growth & spiritual evolution. Just like the plants in the garden, you are affected by the seasonal energy; whatever is happening outside is also happening to you—to your spirit, your growth & your energy.

In this workshop you’ll learn how the seasons affect you throughout the year & how you can use this transformational energy to fuel your personal & spiritual growth. Learn how to work with the different seasonal energies, instead of against them.

We’ll be discussing the 8 sacred seasonal days of the year—the Solstices, Equinoxes & cross-quarter days. (What are cross-quarter days?! … You’ll find out!) We’ll dive into each octant in the Wheel of the Year, and look closely at its themes & influence. How do the seasonal energies flow into one another & how does it all relate to your own journey?

Then, we will each make a personalized Wheel of the Year to take home! Using art supplies & collage materials you will craft your own Sacred Wheel in order to better understand & visualize the effects of each season. (No artistic experience or skill needed!)

You will leave this workshop with a deeper understanding of the Wheel of the Year, and a real grasp on how the seasonal energies affect your spirit throughout the year. Connecting with the energy of the seasons guides you into a deep, rich connection with your Highest  Self, with the Earth & with the Divine. Leave feeling inspired, supported, connected & empowered.

Bring a journal + pen/pencil.
